Help understanding application dependency tree

L0 Member

Hello all!   I am trying to find more information about the attached image -

specifically when selecting an application in the process of creating a security policy, some applications appear to have dependency trees (shown)

In this example of SNMP,

SNMP is shown with several apps that appear to fall under it
-snmp-base
-snmp v1 v2 and v3

Does this mean, that by selecting the top level "SNMP"  that SNMP-base, v1-v3 would also be included, or rather that apps falling under that categorization will be accepted if the top level SNMP is chosen but not say SNMP-base?

I've googled around but I'm not sure how exactly to phrase my query that I'm getting more relevant results.

Thank you!

It does mean, that by selecting the top level snmp ( which is a container ) apps under it would be included: snmp-base, v1, v2, v3
