Hello,
we tried to figure out if it´s possible to use HIP Profiles on Global Protect Client Configuration. We want to ristrict the User who is not matching the HIP Profile to connect to the Gateway. Normally, you can configure the HIP Objects on Policys, but we don´t want the user even connect to the VPN. Is there any Way we can do this ?
Kind regards

I'm gonna say "No" as the HIP data is collected after a gateway connection has been established.
as per the following from PAN.
Once the client connects to the gateway, the GlobalProtect client generates a HIP-report from the client. General cutoff time for HIP generation is 20 seconds. If the client cannot complete HIP report for all items, it will use it for whatever was completed and uncompleted items will use the previously cached HIP report if available, and then it sends the report to the gateway.
HTH.

Well, I think there may be some truth in what both @Mick_Ball and @Lukas.Schmitz are saying.
HIP objects and HIP Profiles CAN be created under the Object tab.
In the GP-Gateway configuration, you can do a HIP check AT the Gateway to allow the GW to inspect the client.
So @Mick_Ball is correct... in the sense that the Gateway will be connected to.. but NOT terminating (or allowing the VPN) to be established until AFTER the HIP check is completed.
