How do I controle session time out ?

L2 Linker

Hello

I use PAN-OS 7.1

I want to controle session time out in only any policys.

In this case, use custom application setting?

First time I will use it.

Already, set meny policys and use same port.

One case, I want to use factory default session time out.

Other one case, I want to set sesstion time out to 4000 seconds.

------------------------

Example,

pattern A     from any host any port , to host A tcp/8080 and no set custom application tag.

pattern B     from any host any port , to host B tcp/8080 and set time out 4000 seconds in custome application tag.

This case, I want to know time out value A and B.

I think, time out value is 4000 seconds every case.

Different it?

Thanks.

Hi @awawa100

You'll need to create an application override for pattern B

that way regular appID will happen for pattern A applying the normal timeout and patternB will get the custom application enforced, causing the longer timeout to be applied

(without app override both patterns will be identified the same way and get the same timeout)
