How do I transfer ownership of the superuser/domain administrator?

L1 Bithead

Hi all,
So, the user that has superuser/domain administrator access to our support.paloaltonetworks.com is no longer at our company, and we need to transfer super user/domain administrator ownership to a different user in our support.paloaltonetworks.com accounts.
It seems like only the superuser has the ability to transfer ownership, how do we change ownership if that user is now gone?

@AndrewPaloAlto,

Create an alias for the old superuser's email account to an account that is active on your email platform and regain access to the existing superuser account is the fastest path forward. As long as you can access email you can reset MFA and then simply elevate one of your other accounts to superuser.

If that isn't an option for some reason, then just open up an admin case and explain the situation. This process has been different for almost everyone that I've talked to, and it generally is faster to just do the above process.

Thanks for the help, I recreated the users gmail account, and logged into it.  But for some reason when I do a 'forgot my password' it never sends the password reset email.  I'll need to reach out to the admin team, what is the best way of doing that?

@AndrewPaloAlto,

You can utilize one of your existing account users to create a support case and select the "Create an Administrative case" option and explain the issue in that case and what account you wish to elevate to superuser.
