how to check traffic volume in IPSec tunnel

L0 Member

Is there any way to check the volume of traffic through an IPSec tunnel? We're being notified of spikes in volume through a tunnel but I'm not sure if there's a way to run a report or check metrics related to tunnel traffic.

Hi @DavidLaita ,

You should be able to use the graph tool as explained here... the article and graphics seem a bit dated but should still be applicable:

Graphic Traffic Monitoring for Interfaces - QoS Statistics

Hope it helps,

For live graph you can use built in QoS statistics as @kiwi mentioned.

For historic data you need to set up SNMP based monitoring.

SNMP monitoring app can then send alerts according to thresholds.
