I have had a failed attempt at transferring a license to a spare device.
The original device is still listed, with its licenses in tact under "devices", however the spare device no longer shows up in the "spares" list, it is in the device list with no licenses attached. Is there a way that I can reset the device back into the spares list for another attempt?

There's a grace period where your 'old' device will still have licences to allow you to stage and transition to the new device
If the new device is not getting any licences if you connect it to the network and fetch the licences, you'll want to reach out to support as the Live Community will not be able to assist with that

Yeah the issue is not so much with the device but the license portal, so you are most likely right.
