Migration FW Paloalto model from 3020 to 1410

L4 Transporter

Hello team,

I need to migrate a cluster from FW model 3020 to 1410.

Can any of you tell me the best way to change it?

I have the 3020 configuration in XML in version 9.1 but the 1410 the minimum version required is 11.

Can you help me?

Regards.

Hi @Alpalo ,

I migrated one of these the other day.  All you have to do is export and the import the configuration.  I was amazed how well  the PA-1410 PAN-OS 11.0 converted the config.  My PA-3060 had a master key configured.  So, I had to configure that on the PA1410 before the import.  I also had to change a couple ports to align the 10G interfaces.  No sweat!

Thanks,

Tom

PS The easiest way to change the ports is to do a search and replace in the XML before import.
