Not getting proper SMTP traps for power supply removal and insertion

L3 Networker

Hi Folks,

We have PA-5260 in HA pair in our environment. Recently we had configured SNMPv2 traps on Palo Alto firewall to forward traps to our SNMP server and configured Log forwarding to forward All system logs as traps to the SNMP server.

Specifically we need to forward power supply related traps forwarding. Yesterday we had removed on of the power supply cable and checked show system environmental and could see alarm as true and power supply inserted as false for power supply #1.

On system logs we had got the following logs generated:

05-08-2022 18:06 SYSTEM general general general critical Chassis Master Alarm: Cleared
05-08-2022 18:05 SYSTEM general general general critical Chassis Master Alarm: Power Supply
05-08-2022 18:05 SYSTEM hw ps-failure general critical Alarm on Power Supply #1 (left)

When the Power supply had been removed we had got the ps-supply failure and Chassis master alarm and we also had got traps with OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.25461.2.1.3.2.0.913 as mentioned in the below document.

Once we re-plugged in the Power supply #1 we have got only "Chassis Master Alarm: Cleared" log created on the firewall. We haven't received the traps for OID's .1.3.6.1.4.1.25461.2.1.3.2.0.911 and .1.3.6.1.4.1.25461.2.1.3.2.0.912

Example OID's attribute
.1.3.6.1.4.1.25461.2.1.3.2.0.911 Power Supply inserted
.1.3.6.1.4.1.25461.2.1.3.2.0.912 Power Supply removed
.1.3.6.1.4.1.25461.2.1.3.2.0.913 Power Supply failure

Upon checking the system logs we could see that no Power Supply inserted and Power Supply removed logs were generated on the firewall.

How to send traps .1.3.6.1.4.1.25461.2.1.3.2.0.911 and .1.3.6.1.4.1.25461.2.1.3.2.0.912 to SNMP server if the Power supply is removed and plugged in again.

Thanks in Advance.
