Palo Alto Routing & Licenses Realtionship?

L1 Bithead

I have PA850 just configured but licenses is not yet activates. I see strange age routing behavior. Is it because licenses is not activated?

Hi there,

Can you better describe the behavior? If you are talking about OSPF, remember PAN-OS defaults to the RFC2328 implementation which can give you unexpected path selection for External routes if you are used to working in an cisco IOS environment.

cheers,

Seb.

Hello,

No the license dont affect routing. I would double check the setup of interfaces/routing/policies and make sure everything is correct.

I have PA850 in a active passive cluster. I have static routes and default gateway and no routing protocol.

It ignores certain specific static routes and always directs traffic to default route which is resulting in communication failure. Please advise.

Hello again,

Can you share the output from the CLI of the active firewall of the following commands:

show interface all

show routing route

show routing path-monitor

Can you also tell us the destination prefixes which are not being routed correctly.

cheers,

Seb.
