Since upgrading to 9.0.X we have been seeing these messages in the system log:
subtype eq lldp
severity eq high
eventid eq 'too many neighbors'
description contains 'Max MIB size reached: LLDP neighbor addition failed for <REDACTED> on interface 715'
What do these messages represent? Why are they a severity of "high"? How do I resolve?
TIA for any thoughts and/or suggestions.

are you using lldp and how many neighbour devices are there supposed to be on the broadcast domain your interface is connected to?
you may need to disable lldp if you're not using it, or decrease your broadcast domain (by VLAN'ing) on your interfac so it only sees relevant neighbours

Did this ever get resolved? I am seeing the same issue on a PA440 in PANOS 10.2.10. I have disabled LLDP globally but still see the message in the system log. The object referenced in the message is ethernet1/1. I have removed LLDP from ethernet1/1 but still receive the alert in the system log every 5 minutes. The overall message is:
Max MIB size reached: LLDP neighbor addition failed for FFFFFFA4:FFFFFFBB:6D:FFFFFFDF:FFFFFFF9:6D on interface 16
No idea what interface 16 refers to, as there are only 8 physical interfaces on the firewall.
