How should this work? I followed the guide here but Panorama did not push any config to the device. Also, What if we are using variables? We cannot import the device variables until the device is connected - right?

if you add the device ahead of time into panorama before it connects to panorama then you should be able to create the device variables ahead of time. The section will show up after you select the template stack it should be added to.
