What solutions are used to backup Panorama VMs? We want to make a full backup of the VM, not just the configuration and log export tools built into the system. This is for DR purposes.
However since we cannot access the system at the OS level, our sys admins can't put vmtools on the system to facilitate with their usual backup procedures.
How do other Panorama users do backups of the whole VM?

Hello Cosx,
I am not sure if there is an option to backup the full VM. However, we do have the option to scp export and import the entire logDB and configuration if that helps:
admin@Panorama(unknown-non-functional)> scp export logdb
+ remote-port SSH port number on remote host
* to Destination (username@host:path)
admin@Panorama(unknown-non-functional)> scp import logdb
+ remote-port SSH port number on remote host
* from Source (username@host:path)
Thanks

Hi,
We are using eVault (http://www.evault.com/fr/), able to do backup/restore for the full VM and granular backup/restore in the VM.

Hi...You can use your standard backup procedure to back up the entire Panorama VM like other VMs that you may have on the network. Or you can take a snapshot of the VM and save it.
Thanks.
