Hello,
There are several different licenses that can be activated. When a license expires, your device just stops getting dynamic updates for that license. So its best to make sure your license does not expire so you can continue to get updates and support.

Find our documentation here. Every device comes standard with 90 days software warranty upon original purchase. In this window, you are able to pull software updates and new images to the device.
To pull software updates to the device, you will now need a support contract/license for the box. If you already have licenses, but that particular one isn't disappearing, see here.
