SSH connection issue with Panorama

L1 Bithead

Hi,

i have deployed Panorama instance in the AWS and wanted to connect to it via ssh in order to set a password for the admin user,

when connecting i used the private key generated by AWS and i was asked for a password which i did not set yet.

please note that it was my first attempt to connect to the Panorama instance.

Regards,

Alex.

Hi @SCantwell_IM,

i did try to authenticate using the AWS key that i have created while deploying the instance.

in the end i did solve it by creating another windows instance in the same subnet and connecting using Putty and the private key it generates.

If you are authenticating to the Panorama, you should be logging in using admin/admin as user/password combo.

You didn't say if you were attempting to do SSH public key authentication, so I am confused about this.

You would normally use public ssh key to connect to a virtualized linux or unix box, or similar.

I work in GCP and I know there a "console" port available to always have connectivity to the Panorama.

Perhaps you can provide more details, with a simple drawing of what you have, and how you are attempting to connect.

What other questions can we answer for you?
