Configuring interfaces as mode "Layer2/L2", should make them behave as layer2 switch interfaces.

so its as easy as going to the network tab\interfaces selecting ethernet1/1 and changing the interface type to layer2 and clicking okay

So what about trying to configure the PA to match up with ports on the ASA 5505 as shown here
interface Ethernet0/2
switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,999
switchport trunk native vlan 1
switchport mode trunk
!
interface Ethernet0/3
switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,999
switchport trunk native vlan 1
switchport mode trunk
