SystemAlert: Websrvr

Not applicable

Hi @all,

can somebody explain the following event, please:

websrvr: exiting because service missed too many heartbeats

Currently I'm not able to connect to the UI via https, via ssh is all fine...

Well, how to deal with that issue?

I would guess that the webserver process in the mgmtplane died for some reason (or was killed).

If you dont want to interrupt your network you can try to restart just your mgmtplane by following command:

request restart software

another command (anyone from PA who perhaps can explain the difference?) is:

debug software restart management-server

or more specific

debug software restart web-server

Hi mikand,

thx for your answer! Thinks are fine again ... Smiley Wink

request restart software: will restart all the processes in the management server whereas debug software restart <option> will restart a single process.

So what about?

request restart system

vs

debug software restart management-server

"debug software restart management-server" would be like restarting Windows Explorer, "request restart system" would be like restarting Windows.

so same same but different then 🙂

Chris,

What version of software are you running and which device?

Thanks

James
