Template Stack unable to Clone // PanOS 10.2.4

L1 Bithead

Hey everybody,

we have an critical Issue with our Template Stack in Panorama!

Since we've update to 10.2.4 we aren't able to clone our "Global Template Stack" anymore, which holds the Global Device Settings for all our Firewalls.

When you go in Panorama -> Templates -> Mark the Template Stack and click "Clone" we get the Failed Massage:

" 1- Failed to clone TMPL_ZZZ_GLOBAL_stack. Cloning allowed only for a top level object. "

The thing is... the "Normal global template" (holds Policy etc. [type = template]) is normally cloneable... but not the type = template stack. Worked like charmed before 10.2.4 and Rollback is not possible because all our 60 Firewalls already updated at this Version.

Any Ideas ???

Hi @Kuhn_Andreas ,

Instead of trying to clone the entire "Global Template Stack," can you attempt to clone the individual templates that are part of the stack?
