Transfer devices from one ASC to another

L3 Networker

Hi All,

so 'premium  support' vs 'premium partner support / backline' licenses on FWs.

premium support - client has direct PAN support.

premium partner support - client works through an ASC ie a managed services / 3rd party to PAN support (generally cheaper option).

Scenario:

so 'ClientA' bought their PA FW devices through 'CompanyB' who also does managed services, the FWs were purchased with a partner support option meaning it is registered to ComanyB's ASC (they are an accredited support partner with PAN) so as such any TAC/support calls is to be done via ComanyB's L1/L2 support and if TAC required, then ComanyB will raise TAC on behalf of clientA.

now.. ClientA moved their services to 'CompanyC' who is also an ASC with PAN.

question - can one transfer ClientA's devices over to ComanyC's ASC with a premium partner support subscription? or will it have to wait for renewal to come up then to be registered under the CompanyC's ASC only then?

thanks in adv

the ASC can be moved

the new ASC can initiate this proces with palo but they will need a 'letter of intent' from the customer outlining they are coming from A wanting to go to B and a list of their serials
