Upgrade to 11.1 from 10.1.11-h5

L1 Bithead

Hello PaloAlto users!

I have to upgrade my PA-820 from 10.1.11-h5 to 11.1 due new features needed. I have purchased my Palo Alto from ebay and is not licensed.

I have downloaded the image 11.1 but it´s necesary to update the content version to achieve this update.

And when I try to update from a file, this happens...

Someone know another way or step to achieve this?

I need to update to 11.1 because this version fix the PPPoE configuration from a subinterface and also permit the IPv6 from my ISP. Actually, I have my PA connected to a switch and getting connection correctly but randomly disconnects due IPv6 issues.

@Jlsierra,

You need to download just apps instead of apps+threats.

In fairness I'm not positive that you'll get this to update without any sort of support as is anyways. It's a violation of the license agreement and has gotten progressively harder with newer version of PAN-OS doing additional licensing checks, and it's been quite a bit since I upgraded a non-licensed unit.

It has worked!

Thank you very much. I'm in the proccess to migrate the old owner. By the way, this is for my home and lab environment.

Thank you again and best regards.
