url filtering update error

Hi,

I searched about this but couldn't find anything to solve an issue about upgrade brightcloud databese.

On dashboard version is 0

First installation and we get error.

On the pcap we see

HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized

Transfer-Encoding: chunked

Server: Microsoft-HTTPAPI/2.0

Date: Sat, 30 Mar 2013 17:40:54 GMT

Mar 30 19:40:54 Failed to download 'full_bcdb_4.66.bin'

Mar 30 19:40:54 Error: pan_bc_download(pan_bc_url.c:1514): Failed to perform download and update

Mar 30 19:40:54 Error downloading latest URL database

Any help; thanks from now.

Packet capture while upgrading :

<?BrightCloud version=bcap/1.1?><bcap><seqnum>6</seqnum><response><status>603</status><statusmsg>License Expired</statusmsg></response></bcap>\r\n

Issue was;  Brightcloud did not give access to our legal license.

I have the same issue and opened a case.  It sounds like a number of customers are having this.

did you get this while upgrading or new installation ?

New install.

I did just manually seed it, but still same error on upgrade.

Although I did see this after manual signed install.

That is strange.I never saw that.I always get error when try to install after upload both with tftp,scp

any solution ?

support also couldn't solve this yet

Yes, it turns out that a couple of PA-500 device models were unrecognized by the BrightCloud servers.  We've since updated this issue with the BrightCloud license servers, so this should be resolved now.

Great.. I just checked and mine are finally updating!  I heard back form the community before tech support.  Gotta love the social web!

To be fair to the Support team, I just sent them an update after I posted here.  Smiley Happy
