I have a business requirement to log URLs visited in an "out of line" manner for reporting and usage. There is no requirement to block URLs and it would be of great advantage not to use VirtualWire at this stage(still in pilot).
I understand it is not possible to apply URL filtering rules(block, allow etc.) in TAP mode, and I'm pretty sure that will also mean I cant create a report to "log"(alert) URL's as well.
Can someone confirm this for me? also is/could it be a road mapped feature? will be excellent to deploy a box out of line to montor URL usage

You can associate the URL-filtering security-profile with the security rules configured in TAP mode .
You should be able to capture the logs and generate report .The security-rule with the sec-profile only decides ,if the firewall should perform the URL/Content check or not.
