Hi
I'm testing last PAN-Agent integration with MS Exchange.
Release notes state:
"The new User-ID Agent can be configured to monitor logon events on Microsoft Exchange Server associated with Microsoft Exchange compatible client applications."
Do you know which MS Exchange clients are actually completely compatible with this feature?
OWA is working fine.
POP3 seems not working.
Thank you very much
Stefano

The User-ID Agent can monitor the logon events recorded by the Exchange server. Unfortunately there is a bug in Microsoft Exchange, which dosn't record the source address of client connections made via IMAP and POP3. With that, users with clients connecting through POP3 or IMAP cannot be identified by the User-ID Agent. Users with clients using Active Sync or MAPI, e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail.app, Entourage, Evolution etc are identified fine.
I hope that helps and explains.

In my environment I added our CAS servers to the User-ID agent config. This takes care of both OWA and MAPI for internal/external users.

I’m curious as to what type of Microsoft Exchange compatible client applications are we talking about, Android and Apple cells and tablets.
