VM-Series - Migration from On-prem DC to Cloud

L1 Bithead

Hello

I have a question from a customer regarding the VM-Series.

My customer is interested in deploying a VM-Series appliance in the DC today but has a future requirement to migrate the protected application environment from the on-prem DC to public cloud.

Is it possible to migrate the fully configured and operational VM-Series appliance from the on-prem VMware hypervisor to a public cloud such as AWS simply by shutting it down and moving it across to the cloud provider with minimal changes such as to parameters like interfaces?

Thanks

Redman

Hi @Redman ,

You can export the named configuration from the on-prem VM to the public cloud VM. I would adjust the IP settings accordingly in the new environment and align the same interface types if you can.
