VM-Series on Vmware Workstation Pro 12

L0 Member

Hi,

I am trying to deploy a VM-Series appliance in a lab environment using VMWARE workstation and GNS3.
The interface however don't show up.   show interface hardware is empty.

I have configured in GNS3 to use VMXNET3.  And also verified the vmx config file is using this.

Example config settings vmxf file.

ethernet2.vnet = "VMnet4"

ethernet2.connectiontype = "custom"

ethernet3.vnet = "VMnet5"

ethernet3.connectiontype = "custom"

ethernet2.present = "TRUE"

ethernet2.startconnected = "FALSE"

ethernet2.virtualdev = "vmxnet3"

ethernet2.wakeonpcktrcv = "FALSE"

ethernet2.addresstype = "generated"

ethernet3.present = "TRUE"

ethernet3.startconnected = "FALSE"

ethernet3.virtualdev = "vmxnet3"

ethernet3.wakeonpcktrcv = "FALSE"

ethernet3.addresstype = "generated"

Any body have an idea an how i can get the interface recognized?

It is a trial i have downloaded not activated yet.

Kind regards,

Frederik.

Console into the box (using VMware GUI) and issue "show interface all" command. What can you see?
