Hi @sanjay.kol ,
Id recommend re-importing the image into vmware and making sure you configure with the minimum system requirements.

As advised by you I did whatever you referred to in the document, but unfortunately the problem still remains unresolved. Below is the configuration and error.
RAM: 8 GB
CPU : 2 CORE
HDD: 100GB
Pls. Help.

I re imported it about 5 to 6 times. I did it in VMWare, EVE-NG ,GNS3 but I received the same error in every application. System also accepts IP by DHCP with which I can ping the system but unable to login.
Thanks for your early response.

Email Sanjay back with the issue you are experiencing and request a new image to be sent over for you to re-download.

were you able to get it to work? im stuck here for days trying to get my 10.2.5 up and running on eve!!

Hello All,
did anybody managed to find a solution for 10.2.5 version? I'm experiencing similar issue under this thread "https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/general-topics/the-pa-vm-eval-is-crashing-after-minutes-since-r....
I'm tried on VMware workstation - I explained everything under the above link. Checked it also in gns3 by uploading new appliance and creating new version because gns3 marketplace created designated import file for 10.2.3 and 11.0.0 versions, however after creating new one, validation installing etc. happening normalny but in this case despite more hardware requirements stucking on PA-HDF for hours.
I red that some users was able to deploy 11.0.0 version BUT that does not matte if there is no license and official website of PALO ALTO is sharing 10.2.5 version with issue... maybe worth to highlight that to someone who is responsible for this version because we're not able to work with this version.
I'm ready to help you with testing purpose newly generated version. Just reach me out.

Hi All,
I've just received my trial KVM image from the official trial program website and would like to test it on my Proxmox cluster.
I encountered exactly the same issues.
I can't log in to the console; I got an IP address from my DHCP server, but there is no application on 443/tcp.
I am attaching the full boot log messages where you can see that everything seems good.
Any suggestions or guidance on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!

I managed to make it work. You should not use paravirtualization but instead use the SATA drivers for the disks.
For the network cards, I'm not sure, but just in case, I used e1000e.

How do you do this on eve ng?
06-16-2025 01:44 AM
I still have an issue with the NICs.
Only the management card is present, but not the others, regardless of whether they are virtio, e1000, e1000e, or vmxnet3.
I'm still looking into it...
