Yahoo Messenger version 11.

This version has a facebook chat included. is there a way to block / drop facebook chat from this version?

Facebook-chat is also an application in PA , you can block it if it uses same APIs, did you try it ?

Facebook-chat is already on my drop/reject/unwanted list of applications, but if i look at the session for a specific user that uses yahoo messenger ver 11 ( that has facebook chat ) all I see from my firewall session is yahoo-im-base  ACTIVE  FLOW  NS

Thats because you are still using Yahoo as your application and they have enabled a conduit to Facebook. You will need to block Yahoo in addition to facebook chat.

Good point, but i cannot do that for now since users are using yahoo messenger. I guess i'll just open a ticket for this.
