GlobalProtect Linux client recreates a "GP_HTML" folder in home directory on every start

Hi all,

I'm running into a persistent annoyance with the GlobalProtect Linux client.

Environment:
- GlobalProtect version: 6.2.9-407
- OS: Ubuntu (kernel 6.17.0-35-generic, 24.04-based)
- Architecture: x86_64

Issue:
Every time the GlobalProtect client starts, it creates a folder named `GP_HTML` directly in my home directory (`~/GP_HTML`). This happens on every launch/restart of the service, and I have to manually delete it each time to keep my home directory clean. It doesn't appear to be user-configurable, and I haven't found any setting to disable or relocate it.

Questions:

- Is there a way to disable this or redirect it to a temp/cache location instead of `$HOME`?

- Why does the software need to create the GP_HTML folder in the home directory, instead of in a temp/cache location?
