GlobalProtect not working in Parallels Windows11 on MacBook Air M2

L0 Member

I'm running Windows 11 with Paralles installed on my MacBook Air M1 2023.
I installed Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect on Windows 11 and tried to use it, but an error is displayed and I cannot use it. Please tell me the solution.

Could not connect to GlobalProtect service.
Make sure GlobalProtect is running.
If the problem persists, please contact your administrator.

Hi @KENZ2023 ,

Right of the bat I would say - here is your problem

"■Environment
MacBook Air Apple Silicon-M2 2023
macOS Ventura 13.4.1
Parallels 18.3.1
Windows 11 22H2 22621.1848
Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect x64-6.0.4-26"

It looks you are trying to install x64 version, while running your VM on M1 chip you will need ARM64 version.

You are probably downloading this from your VPN portal address, right? Unfortunately this will allow you to download only x64 and x32 versions. So you need to download ARM-based version from Palo Alto Customer Support Portal - ask your firewall admin to download it for you.

Hi @aleksandar.astardzhiev

Thank you very much for your comment on the solution.
I will ask the administrator to download the AMR64 version.
