GP Update to 6.1 and PAN-OS 10.2.7-h3

L0 Member

Hello,

We are planning to upgrade our GP client to 6.1.4. Currently we are running 6.0.7 and the PAN-OS (10.2.7-h3). Since we just recently upgraded our PAN-OS, we do not intend to upgrade to 11.0 anytime soon. My question is; what would be the behavior of the GP client 6.1.4 when we have PAN-OS (10.2.7-h3)? I know with 6.1 the End-user Notification was introduced. What is the default expiry of the login lifetime?

Here is the article about the End-user Notification:

Regards,

John

Hi @jesteves ,

As you mentioned, starting with GlobalProtect app 6.1.0, the End-user Notification about GlobalProtect Session Logout feature is introduced and end users will start seeing notifications.

To disable or customize the notifications, you must be running GlobalProtect on PAN-OS 11.0 or later.

I've seen reports of users not being able to disable or edit these pop-up notifications because they weren't running PAN-OS version 11.0 or later.

Kind regards,

-Kim.
