Virtual adapter installation failures during GlobalProtect deployment are usually related to administrative permission conflicts, corrupted installer files, or operating system driver restrictions.

 

To help the community narrow this down and give you the right solution, could you provide a few more details about the setup?

  • OS Version: Which specific version of Windows is the user running (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11)?

  • GlobalProtect Version: Which specific version of the GlobalProtect agent are you attempting to install?

  • Logs: Are you seeing a specific error code or message during the setup? If possible, checking the PanSetup.log file (located in C:\Program Files\Palo Alto Networks\GlobalProtect\) will give us the exact error causing the adapter failure.
