PAN OS versioning differences

L2 Linker

Is there any way to easily show what the difference is between PAN OS versions?

For example, what is the difference between 11.1.10-h4 and 11.1.6-h17?  What hasn't been fixed between these two versions?

For anyone in the same situation, here's the takeaway after having to use AI to compare these two versions:

The new and unique fix in 11.1.10-h4 that's not present in 11.1.6-h17 is:

  • PAN-296992 – Prevents Panorama-managed firewalls (with no log collector group defined) from endlessly attempting logging connections to Panorama, which previously generated excessive system log noise.

It's concerning how PAN's quality control and disorganization of the NGFW products continue to decline.

Hi @NickAssar , you can have a look at the release notes https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/11-1/pan-os-release-notes/pan-os-11-1-6-known-and-addressed... and see the issues that have been addressed on the different minor releases up to 11.1.10-h4.

Regards

Yeah that's not helpful given the hundred of bugs listed.
