Subject: GlobalProtect Push Configuration Fails with "Unexpected Commit Error" on Strata Cloud Manager

Hello,

We are currently using Prisma Access with Strata Cloud Manager (SCM), and we're experiencing a critical issue.

Whenever we attempt to push the GlobalProtect configuration, the operation fails with the following error message:

[status]: commit failed
[errors]: An unexpected error occurred during commit. Retry the commit operation. If the issue persists, contact Palo Alto Networks support.

Could you please assist us in identifying and resolving the cause of this commit failure?

I’ve had a similar experience before. At that time, I opened a CASE and escalated the request to the backend team. The engineer explained that the issue was caused by firewall overload. he also warned me not to push continuously before the previous push had completely finished.

What is the fix for this issue?

Hello.

From my experience it took complete, full 1 hour to show us that commit was failed.

There are so many reasons, but mostly from my experience, it was one of this :

-. Some Backend Progresses stuck at the backend during the push (unlucky me)

-. Firewall overload

-. Backend Issue

I recommend you to open up a case straight away..
