Best Practices for Migrating to Prisma Access?

L1 Bithead

Hi everyone,

We're currently evaluating a move to Prisma Access as part of our SASE strategy and would like to learn from others who have already completed the migration.

For those with production experience:

  • What challenges did you encounter during deployment?

  • Any best practices for a smooth migration?

  • Are there any common mistakes that should be avoided?

I'd appreciate any recommendations or lessons learned. Thanks!

There is a migration wizard workflow for this if you are migrating from panorama:

If you are moving from on-prem NGFW then the biggest one is the bandwidth planning:

Also if the rooting should be hot potato or not:

Also how to select between the ZTNA connector and service connection or use them at the same time for your DC:

Others may provide their input as well.

Still better involve initially an expert to be honest.
