I would like to report a false positive detection where your security solution has flagged the file MyRustServer.exe as Generic.ml


  1. 1. File Information

  1. 2. About MyRustServer

MyRustServer is a legitimate Rust server management tool widely used by server administrators to simplify the setup and management of their Rust game servers. It offers:

  • Automatic installation and updates for the Rust server and common modding frameworks (e.g., Oxide, Carbon)
  • A full-featured dashboard with auto-restart, auto-update, plugin management, and wipe scheduling
  • Built-in plugin installer and editor for uMod, Codefling, Lone.Design, and other platforms
  • Advanced wipe management (maps, blueprints, seeds, etc.)
  • Discord integration for remote control, status updates, and notifications

The tool has been publicly available for several years on trusted platforms such as Codefling

 

  1. Protection and Signing
  • MyRustServer.exe is protected with the latest versions of NET Reactor and Themida to prevent tampering and reverse engineering.
  • The binary is digitally signed by Mathias Kleinschmidt with a valid code signing certificate (Certum Code Signing 2021 CA).

 

  1. Request for Review

We kindly ask you to review this detection and whitelist the file as it is part of a legitimate, signed, and widely used commercial product.

If you need the binary for analysis, we can provide it directly upon request.
