As another year comes to a close, we wanted to revisit the highlights from our community in the past twelve months. In 2021, LIVEcommunity refreshed its homepage, launched interactive events, revamped its Getting Started area, welcomed a new cohort of Cyber Elite experts, and so much more. Of course, there's also the bread and butter of what we do: thousands of blogs, articles, and discussions were also posted within the community—and solutions found!—thanks to all of our members.
The LIVEcommunity team appreciates all those who visited us throughout 2021, and would like to extend a special thank you to those who provided feedback in the form of comments, mentions, thumbs up, and replies to posts. We wouldn’t be this vibrant community without each and every one of you!

In April, we implemented an enhanced user experience on LIVEcommunity. We updated our homepage, adding trending conversations, community activity, events calendar, and more. Check out all the changes in this blog: It’s Here — The Enhanced LIVEcommunity Experience.
In October, we unveiled a brand-new Welcome Guide that includes a featured article and 10-step tutorial for onboarding new members—so that folks can navigate LIVEcommunity like a pro in no time. We hope that our updated Welcome Guide is an adequate and warm invitation into our community for novice members and first-time visitors alike. Check it out now.
The LIVEcommunity team wants to give a shout-out to our 2021 Cyber Elite experts! This second-ever cohort of our most knowledgeable and engaged members continues to be invaluable to all LIVE readers, members, and community at large. Thank you for all of your support and contributions in 2021.
Providing Palo Alto Networks customers with insightful, informative, up-to-date content continued to be a top priority for the LIVEcommunity team in 2021. In addition to publishing dozens of Tips & Tricks and Discussion of the Week posts, we also started these new series this past calendar year:
Monthly Rewinds: Our Rewind column looks back at the previous month on LIVEcommunity, recapping the events, content, news, and other happenings for readers. The monthly Rewind posts can be found in the Community News area.
Customer News Roundup: Started in June 2021, LIVEcommunity’s monthly Customer News roundups cover customer-only news, webinars, and resources, as well as LIVEcommunity content pertinent to our customer base and users of Palo Alto Networks services. They can be found in the Customer News area.
Member Spotlight: Our monthly member spotlights features a member that has been a top contributor to the community by posting discussions, top solutions, and generating likes. These spotlights are an important way that we acknowledge, applaud, and appreciate our members.
This year, we established two types of online events—Interactive Events and Ask Me Anything (AMA) events. These new avenues of interaction provide opportunities to learn from and connect with each other, meet experts, and hear from thought leaders across the Palo Alto Networks ecosystem.
We wanted to highlight some of these events from 2021 that you can still go back and watch, or even read through the live questions:
Don’t forget to visit the LIVEcommunity events page and subscribe to receive notifications about our upcoming digital events.
This past fall, LIVEcommunity introduced a super-cool and useful new feature: Product Mentions. This new feature makes it even easier to find related product information when posting a discussion, reply, or comment. Product Mentions also allow you to subscribe to products and request notifications regarding product-related activity. Read this article for a step-by-step guide to learn how to use #ProductMentions.
By revamping and updating our pages, we want to make sure that your information needs are met and the latest and greatest news is available when you're coming back for more! Many of our technology resources pages now have an extra section called Customer Journey Guide, which is available for customers only. These guides have been implemented to walk you through the following steps:
One of our main goals in LIVEcommunity is being home to the newest and most up-to-date resources on Palo Alto Networks technology. This year, we launched a several new technology pages:
Thank you for reading! And thank you to our global community for making 2021 such a successful year. Here's to an even better 2022. See you next year!
