Hello @SeanDeHarris

Installing the Cortex XDR agent for work-from-home (WFH) users without onsite IT support requires careful planning, as the platform does not provide a direct, public, self-service installation URL.

Recommended Deployment Methods:

For remote users, use one of the following established distribution methods:

-Professional Deployment Tools (MDM/EMM):For large-scale or automated deployments, use solutions such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), SCCM, Group Policy (GPO), or JAMF for macOS.

-Manual Secure Transfer:
For small-scale deployments, an administrator can download the installer package from the Cortex XDR console (Agent Installations > Installation Packages) and securely transfer the file to the user, such as through a secure corporate file share.

Key Installation Steps for Windows:
If proceeding with a manual or remote-tool-led installation on Windows, the standard method is using the MSI installer or msiexec:

1.Download:
Obtain the installer from the Cortex XDR console.

2.Run:
Execute the MSI file directly or use the command line:

msiexec /i <installername>.msi /qn /l*v <logpath>.txt

The /qn flag performs a quiet installation without user interaction.

3.Verify:
Confirm that the agent successfully connects to the Cortex XDR console after installation.

Note on Windows Home Editions:

Cortex XDR is not supported on Windows Home editions (such as Windows 10 or 11 Home), as it is designed for enterprise-grade operating systems.
