Pinging issues after installing cortex

L2 Linker

After installation of Cortex, we have not received Ping response from basic applications. Could this be because of cortex?

Hi @Aiman_Fathima ,

Thank you for reaching out to live community!

It would be very difficult to say just by the behaviour. You can try to disable Cortex XDR protection on the endpoint and observe if the issue is reproduced. On the Cortex XDR endpoint administration, select the endpoint you are facing issue with and right click on the endpoint>Endpoint Control> Pause Endpoint Protection . Once the endpoint protection is paused, you can try reproducing the issue, If the issue is observed again, then it is isolated that Cortex should not be the root cause of the issue.

If the issue is not observed after pausing the protection/disabling agent service completely, we would request you to engage our Palo Alto Networks Technical Assistance Center by opening a case and troubleshooting further.

Hope this helps!

Best Regards
