Hi
I am trying to resolve the issue with the new google safe search changes that have happened. I am from a school and we are having issues with students being able to search for inappropriate content on google images due to their recent changes of not forcing strict safe search on. Previously we have used the work arounds that are on articles 1399 on here but these dont have any effect now google has changed the way safe search works. I have found a work around that works by manually typing &safe=on in the url of a google search with enables the safe search function to be on. Now i need to find a way of injecting this parameter into all google searches that users do using the palo. Does anyone have any suggestions on how this can be done?
Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt,
One quick note - Google has indeed changed their Safe Search functionality such that it is now off by default (it was previously set to moderate). Additionally, instead of three settings, off, moderate and strict, Safe Search is now two settings, on and off. Previously, with the three settings, off meant no filters whatsoever, moderate applied filters to web results, and strict applied them to both web and images. Now, with the two settings, the difference between on and off is whether or not filters are applied to web results; filters are always applied to images (with safe search off, you need to be more explicit in your search in order to get "bad results"). On top of this, these changes have so far only been rolled out to English speaking countries (US, UK, etc).
All of this aside, PAN-OS does not support the ability to do URL re-writes, though there have been requests to support the enforcement of Safe Search settings. Please contact your SE for more information regarding this.
