application 'ms-ds-smb' is not a valid reference

Hello,

 

We are seeing the following error occurring when trying to commit changes. 

Validation Error: 
rulebase -> application-override -> rules -> SMB -> application 'ms-ds-smb' is not a valid reference 
rulebase -> application-override -> rules -> SMB -> application is invalid 
vsys1 
Error: application-override rule 'SMB': Failed to find application 'ms-ds-smb' 
Error: Failed to parse application-override policy 
(Module: device) 
Commit failed 

 

*We are using PAN-OS 8.0.3

*App&Threat contents are updated

*Not using Panorama

Hi @Farzana,

 

I seem to recall that there was a content update where ms-ds-smb was changed/updated to ms-ds-smb-base but not automatically updating the override policy.

 

 

 

Can you verify/change the application to ms-ds-smb-base and verify if that resolves the issue for you ?

Can you verify/change the application to ms-ds-smb-base and verify if that resolves the issue for you ?
