Hi All,
I would really appreciate if you can help me to clear this doubt.
Do we need to register the serial number of firewall ( VM or Hardware box ) in https://support.paloaltonetworks.com in case if we want to download software updates ( Newer OS versions ) in a scenario where Premium Support licenses is not activated. Can we get PanOS updates without registering them in support portal.

Hello,
Yes, this is how the systems know if they are license correctly. Just go into your firewall Device->Licenses then click retrive licenses from server. Make sure the management interface has a way out to the internet. Or you can perform an offline if you download the license from the portal and upload them to your firewall.
