@aromero,

This information is generally controlled by TAC and isn't really published anywhere. You can either open a support ticket (which will get answered usually simply via an email response) or you can ask here and we can tell you as a community what we were told was recommended the last time we asked TAC.

Last I heard 8.0.8 was still the highest recommended 8.0.* release, however 8.0.9 is likely to move into recommended status shortly if it hasn't done so already.

8.1.* so far doesn't have a recommended release. If you are intent on running 8.1 then I would recommend that you install 8.1.1 as it addresses a long list of issues present in 8.1.0.

Thanks, I will try to open a ticket with the TAC.

Kind regards

What about a stable version for pan-os 7.1.x, I am looking at upgrading to 7.1.17 and later as advised by the vendor to mitigate against the vulnerability below:

Denial of Service in PAN-OS Management Web Interface
PAN-SA-2018-0008

Is there any version later than 7.1.17 is is stable and recommended by the vendor in the past to anyone.

L2 Linker

What is the currently recommended PANOS version?

Thanks,

8.0.13 in the 8.0 branch

7.1.20 in the 7.1 branch
