How to physical link down when rollback

L0 Member

Hi, I am using the 5.x version of paloalto.

HA is Actvie(FW1) - Passive(FW2) configuration and use link group.

For example, failover occurs when the wan link goes down. (FW2 / Actvie)

When the wan link is up rollback.(FW1/ Actvie)  At that time, the entire physical link down fw2 was about 1 minute.

I was using it this way.

but I am working on changing paloalto to 8.x version

When rollback, the entire link is not down.

When I roll back, the entire link goes down and hope it gets up again.

Please tell me how to solve

Thank you

Hello,

Yeah upgrading from 5 is not going to be fun, just backup your config prior to and at each major setup, just to be safe. What I think you are referring to are the HA timers. But I recommend you upgrade first then worry about the timers.
