Need help on PaloAlto OID

L1 Bithead

Hi Experts ,

Looking for OIDs to monitor below mentioned list  ,  using SNMPv3 for Palo Alto on AWS cloud but unable to locate any MIBs or OIDs.

BGP (Established , down)

Tunnels ( IP , Status , Traffic Stats)

SSH (User IP , Count)

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Regards

Faiz.

Hi @faizullah,

Currently there is no snmp status monitor for BGP or Tunnels.

Please reach out to your local SE and have him add your vote to the following FR's or ask him for a new feature request :

FR 5844 for BGP SNMP monitor

FR 5134 better tools for Performance Tunnel monitor (no mention of SNMP though)

In PAN-COMMON-MIB.my , the object group 'panGlobalProtect' measures GlobalProtect gateway utilization as a percentage, maximum tunnels allowed, and number of active tunnels : supported-mibs

Also check out this list of OIDs which might be helpful for you :

SNMP-for-Monitoring-Palo-Alto-Networks-Devices

In HOST-RESOURCES-MIB , the object group 'hrSystem' , can show you number of current user sessions but I don't believe you can track the userIPs this way :

snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 10.192.16.170 hrSystemNumUsers HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrSystemNumUsers.0 = Gauge32: 1

Cheers !
