New Palo erroring when pushing device group and template stack it seems to not see all the variables

The device group commit is failing due to objects not having the correct reference

The template is failing due to outside zone and all other zones using a log setting default which is deployed in the device group configuration..

What is the best way to workaround this, currently my Palos are not receiving any configuration from either...

Hi @M.Allen ,

Fixing commit errors are never really fun and are always tedious. Id recommend pulling up the local fw and as you go line by line and change the config, be sure that it is present locally. It might not be the exact changes you want at first, but id fix the commit errors and get a commit working first then add in the specific changes you want. It might also help to commit and push incrementally as well.

Good luck!

Are you setting up new firewall or trying to commit change to firewall already in production?

If new then you can try checking "Force Template Values" in Panorama while committing but if existing firewall then remove log settings from Outside zone, commit template and then commit device group.

After successful commit put log config back to Outside zone.
