Hi with respect to upgrading Palo Alto to new base/versions which filesystem folders shown below are most important so that you don't encounter disk space issues ?

when this partition gets full: /opt/pancfg you will not be able to download new PAN-OS image. Here is corresponding KB: https://knowledgebase.paloaltonetworks.com/KCSArticleDetail?id=kA10g000000PLSJCA4
By looking at screen shot you posted, you are nowhere near disk space issue.
