Fixed an issue where dereferencing a NULL pointer that occurred when App-ID stopped responding caused the firewall to restart.

 

 

I was just discussing the with PA TAC - PAN-262287 - PA TAC mentioned they have an internal bug which suggests below:-

 

Below are the observations:-

commands to be checked - to identify the crash/core  dump logs on PA.

 

show system files
debug dataplane pow status

 

 

system logs may contain below:-

2024/07/21 11:07:27 critical general general 0 dp0-path_monitor: Exited 1 times, must be manually recovered.
2024/07/21 11:07:28 critical general general 0 internal_monitor: Exited 1 times, must be manually recovered.
2024/07/21 11:05:51 critical general general 0 all_pktproc_9: Exited 4 times, must be manually recovered.

 

Suggested upgrades

11.2.3, 11.1.5, 10.2.13, 10.2.14, 11.2.5, 10.2.10-h4, 11.1.4-h4

 

current- 10.2.10-h2
new suggested -10.2.10-h4

 

I have upgraded the FW to  - 10.2.10-h4 . let's see how it goes.
