Panorama -> User ID -> Group Mapping Settings with AD

Hi All

We've got Panorama deployed successfully to manage our HA pair of 3020's, but I was wondering if somebody could point me in the direction of an article describing how the Active Directory Lookup works on Panorama for creating Group Mappings?

When editing Group Mapping Settings directly the Firewall, it displays the AD structure which allows us to select what to include. Suchg as this:

I'd have thought Panorama would query the default Firewall and displayed the AD sctructure in a similar fashion. But instead all I see in a stanadard listbox, where you have to manually type the group name (and it provides no hint of the necessary format which would need to be entered).

I know the configuration is correct, as its working on when applied to the Firewall, I would appreciate all help or assistance.

Hi @TechnologyOperations,

This article handles your question :

Configuring-Group-Include-List-on-M-100-Panorama-for-Managed-Devices

In short :

Available Groups are not visible as Panorama is not equipped with pulling the User-Group  info directly from the LDAP Active Directory.  The User-ID information is pulled up on the Panorama using Master Device in the device group.

Cheers !
