I was wondering about a printing application on Palo Alto. Is there an app I can allow that allows printer ports automatically, or should I do it by creating a service?

I think that it's depend on printer manufacturer.

ie. for HP pinters I have alloved jet-direct but also it need by dependencies snmp-base and snmpv1.

I can recomendate to make security rule that allow all traffic, and after few hours/days please take a look into traffic log from this security policy and You will know what aplication whas recognised. If there isn't a unknowntcp/udp that mean that every aplication was recognised.

Hope that it help You
