HI, we are hitting a critical bug in our PA5020 about memory leak. Current version is 8.0.8. So we are planning to upgrade. What PanOS version do you recommend us? more "stable"?

Hi @BigPalo ,
Seeing that both are future releases I'm suspecting that the fix for the 8.0.x branch will be in 8.0.19 maybe.
Please check with TAC to see if the fix will also be ported to the 8.0 branch.
Cheers !

Nice link.
Kiwi, Ww also want to avoid another bug that we reported to PA TAC. This bug is in 8.0.8. This was the TAC response. Do you know the solved version for this bug in 8.0.x?
"I see that you are running into an issue reported in our internal issue number PAN-113189.
The root cause of the issue is that the log generated by "/usr/bin/wmic" contains some lines that have string conversion error. The code logic that tried to parse the lines does not expected this error and crashed when the IP field cannot be found.
Fix for this issue will be available in software version 8.1.9 or 9.0.3 (ETA is June)"
