Response Page using HTTP

L2 Linker

Hi,

We are working on custom response pages for all our devices but wanted to know if it was possible to deliver then using HTTP instead of HTTPS as the default ones currelty come via HTTPS and users have to accept the invalid certificate. We have valid certificates on the devices for management but are using transparent interception not re-direction. If we change to re-direction what url would I specify?

hi,

do you mean captive portal as response page or e.g. application block page?

Because we have also custom response pages and by default pages like "application block page" is using HTTP and Captive Portal HTTPS....

I am just meaning the "application block page" ours uses HTTPS. Could it be that I need to enable HTTP on the Interface Management profile?

No,

We don't have HTTP enabled. Did you import the file as html or txt file? There is a different. Also, check the html header:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

<head>

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />

<META HTTP-EQUIV="PRAGMA" CONTENT="NO-CACHE">

<title>Appplication Blocked</title>

//e.g css inforamtion

</head>

<body>

//content

</body>

</html>

Also, do you have any additional rules or config which can cause a URL redirection?
